  1. A very informative page on knives. I did notice they were all stainless steel blades. I have not messed with knives in a long time but years ago the where part of arsenal and stainless steel would not hold an edge. Has that changed?

  2. I remember a while back when my wife and I were doing our wedding registry looking at knife sets. There was a set or two that claimed it sharpened the knives when you took them out and put them back into their designated slot holders. Do you recommend a set like that? I’m wondering if that helps with the knives’ longevity and if it’s important to have. Thanks for your post though. I actually never really considered that there are different knives for different situations and what you may be cutting and slicing!

      Many manufacturers are now launching the kitchen knife sets with sharpeners. Having a knife sharpener is the best thing and is recommended. You can search for a set having a sharpener case or you can buy it separately.
      In my opinion, you can first choose the kitchen knife as per your need even if it does not come with a sharpening tool and keep a 3 stage sharpener in your kitchen.
